Food Service & Distribution Volunteer


Description:

Requirement: No age restriction. Full background check required for ongoing roles; not needed for one-day events.

Average volunteer time: 2–4 hours per shift. From a single shift up to 5 days per week during peak periods.

Available locations:

  • City Recreation and Community Centers

Tasks performed:

  • Assemble meals.
  • Sign in participants.
  • Serve food in various settings.
  • Distribute food bags.
  • Clean and reset food service areas.

Serve meals, distribute food bags, and serve food in various community settings. Help ensure individuals and families are fed.

Time Commitment:

Estimated hours per visit: 2–4 hours.

Frequency: As little as one time, or up to 5 days a week.

Typical days/times: Evenings, weekends, breakfast, and lunch hours.

Season: Duration can range from one shift to summer-long opportunities of 5 days a week.

Total commitment: One or more shifts. Both regular and episodic opportunities available.
