Description:

Teen volunteers sort and shelve materials, search for requested items, process new materials, shelf-read to ensure materials are shelved accurately, assist with special projects, prepare supplies for the Summer Reading Challenge, help during special Summer Reading events, help during storytime sessions, and assist with special projects. Teen Advisory Board members participate in monthly meetings, provide suggestions about teen spaces, collections, and programming, and assist with special teen and youth events.

Time Commitment:

Varies based on role and required volunteer hours. Teen Advisory Board meets 1-2 hours per month September through May. VolunTEEN opportunities run 1-2 hours per week May through August. Interested teens should contact their preferred Lincoln City Libraries location during the month of April to ask about availability.
